Ragging in all its forms is totally banned in this institution including in its departments, constituent units, all its premises (academic, residential, sports, kiosks, cafeteria and the like) whether located within the campus or outside and in all means of transportation of students whether public or private. Any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has an effect of teasing. treating or handling with rudeness of a fellow student is considered as ragging. 

The institution shall take strict action including but not limited to criminal proceeding and/or cancellation of admission against those found guilty of ragging and/or of abetting ragging and the burden of proof shall hereby lie on the perpetrator of alleged ragging and not on the victim. An offense of Ragging may be charged either on a written complaint by the affected or on independent finding of the Anti Ragging Squad.

Kerala State in order to avert the menace of ragging had enacted KeralaProhibition of Ragging Act 1998 (the Act), which casts a duty on the head of the institution to prohibit ragging. As per section 4, whoever commits, participating, abets or propagates ragging shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extent to two years and a fine up to ten thousand rupees and section 5 provides for dismissal of a student for a period of three years upon conviction and during this period he cannot be admitted to any other institution. Apart from the provisions of the Act, the students who commit the offence of ragging shall also liable to be punished for other offences under Indian Penal Code that they commit at the time of offence.
