Oral and maxillofacial surgery

OVERVIEW

The department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Gregorios Dental College was established in the year 2005.Oral Surgery is a recognized international specialist training course in dentistry. It is the specialty of dentistry that includes the diagnosis, surgical and related treatment of diseases, injuries and defects involving both the functional and esthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the head, mouth, teeth, gums, jaws and neck. 

INFRASTRUCTURE

The department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery comprises of 15 chairs with all the latest equipment’s required. It has operation theatres both, major and minor.

It involves, but is not limited to: Extraction of teeth, Wisdom teeth removal, Apicoectomy, TMJ disorders, Maxillo- facial trauma, Orthognathic Surgery, Oral and maxillofacial Oncologyand Dental& maxillofacial Implants.
