Physiology and Biochemistry
Department of physiology and biochemistry offers general physiology and biochemistry subjects for students in both BDS and MDS courses. Physiology aims to give an idea of functioning of all the organ systems and their interactions. Biochemistry including nutrition and dietetics provide a sound knowledge on the biochemical basis of the life processes relevant to the human system. So these subjects are considered as the scientific foundation for the field of modern medicine especially for understanding the physiological and biochemical basis of health and disease.
Major activities includes conduct theory and practical classes for BDS and MDS students, arrange facilities for MDS projects, organize seminars/conferences/workshops for students, conduct research projects in collaborating with students.
We have a well experienced faculties including head of the departments and assistant professors for both physiology and biochemistry subjects. Department has separate laboratory for physiology and biochemistry containing all the equipments for BDS and MDS studies and research.
